I will admit to you that I am not a very good blogger. I have my photography blog that I have not updated in months, possibly years at this point. I know the importance of it though so here I am on my real estate blog for GreyBeard Realty trying to come up with content and thinking what you, my reader would find interesting and unique to a real estate blog. So I think that I will start with where most things start with me, FOOD! You know I am of course going to tell you how much I love Asheville and the surrounding areas, and how you should buy a home or land, and from me if you are so inclined, but lets be honest, we all eat and we all want to eat in Asheville. Most conversations in my car as I am showing people around our beautiful region is often times centered around food and where they should eat while on their stay. Most of my folks are from out of town and want to feel like a local because soon they will be. Asheville has really established itself as a culinary destination and I am so thrilled about that. We all know Asheville is known for being Beer City and rightfully so with a new brewery popping up on every corner like a Starbucks. My personal favorite, since you asked is Wedge Brewing in the River Arts District, and if you like it hoppy be sure to get Iron Rail IPA.

Since we journeyed down to RAD (River Arts District) we will just stick there for food options. I have way too many favorites to write about in just one blog post.
If beer is not your thing or you want another option just go over to Bull and Beggar next to the original Wedge and grab a nice cocktail and appetizer. Bull and Beggar has such a unique menu, they call it "European Inspired Appalachian Cuisine". The menu is ever changing like most restaurants in Asheville which is awesome because it always keeps it fresh. On Monday nights they have a burger night with the best 2 patty diner burger you will ever have! Only open for dinner and Sunday Brunch.
If you are wanting a more casual affair or lunch go right up the road to All Souls Pizza. Their bread comes from Farm and Sparrow and the seeded baguette might be the best thing you have ever eaten, seriously.
Lets make 2 more stops shall well. Interested in a breakfast taco (but also open for lunch) then try Taco Billy. They give you an option of having your tacos on plantain tortillas. Yes you read that correctly. They are as good as they sound too especially on Support Group (its a taco, get it, trust me).
Our final stop today is going to be to get Bon Appetit's dessert of the year at Hole Doughnuts. It might be the cutest little doughnut shop you have ever been in and oh goodness I dare you not to get all the doughnuts. They only offer 4 flavors. 3 standard which are cocoa rub, glazed, and my personal favorite toasted almond sesame cinnamon. They have a special flavor everyday. They cook to order so you are guaranteed a delicious hot fresh treat.
You also might want to make that shop your new home, but sadly it is not for sale, but I can sure help you find something just as cute!

Now that I am sufficiently starving and dreaming about food, I'm going to eat!
